“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
Psalms 27:13

My Vision + Prayer For You

As we all begin to believe, really believe that HE is good,
that our trust in Him would grow.

And as we begin to look for His goodness + provision, no matter how abundant or scarce our circumstances may seem, that our hearts + minds perspective would shift to the belief that we have enough.

And understand we have enough because we have Him and begin to believe the truth of Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing.

I have gotten so much joy and many reminders of God’s provision and goodness from this sweet basket.
Is it holding garden produce right now? No ma’am. It’s baseball season, x2. Gymnastics. Violin. Girls on the run. But no matter the season or contents of my life, I’m reminded Jesus is enough… I lack nothing.

When Bethany told me the abundant tomato harvest story I was moved to consider my own mindset & beliefs on God’s provision. I decided to set a small empty basket on my desk as a reminder to have an abundance expectation. In Him, lack doesn’t define a circumstance or me. And I am grateful He is still weaving my story.

The abundance basket came at a pivotal time when my eyes needed to be directed back to all the goodness God has been faithful in providing for our family. The verses have been framed on the kitchen wall so anytime I walk past them it’s a reminder of how blessed we are. Sometimes, you just need those simple daily reminders to keep you grounded and this encouragement and direction to Truth does that.

I was first gifted the abundance basket last year at the start of my garden year. I have been gardening my whole life but last year was the first year at our little homestead and the first year with a garden at this scale. When we first bought our home, we felt God really calling us to produce our own food and be able to bless others out of that abundance. At the same time we bought our home, God was also calling us into some pretty significant life/career changes. I was so touched by receiving this basket and the thoughtful verses because it felt significant of that promise God had given us that he would be faithful in our dreams and callings. I displayed the verses in our dining room, overlooking our garden and farmyard, so that I would continually be reminded of his faithfulness and abundance, even in the unknown. The abundance that came from our home this year was a testament to His faithfulness. We were able to achieve our goal of not buying frozen or canned fruits or vegetables, in addition to being able to give away significant quantities of both as well. It has been a joy to watch him fulfill His promises to us in this way.
